Trail running is about more than the trail.
This film centers around Mari and her trail running
journey, while capturing the people and places that
make the Alaskan trail running community so unique.
Mari has become a familiar and encouraging presence
within the Anchorage running community. She shows up,
brings people with her and has a way of making you want
to get out there and take on something of your own.
Skinny Raven provided the brief and I took the project
from there, planning the shoot, crafting the story,
filming and editing the final piece.
The result is a story about movement, community and the
drive to chase the things that matter to you.
